The primary heat source for our home is wood stove heat. Each year, towards the end of summer, we go up the road and get 4-6 cords of wood. A lot of work for my husband and I and our three girls. I love the smell of the woods, and I really love the smell of the chainsaw and the chainsaw dust. The woodsy, earthy smell of the pine trees after they have been cut, puts all of us in the winter mood, for fuzzy PJ's and drinking cocoa by the stove. I find the woodsy smell of my husband's clothes attractive. Getting wood for the winter puts mountain living into perspective. The mossy green mica color of this soap reminds me of the pine needles, which start to fade a little from their green color, with fall approaching.
Made by the cold process method.
